A traditional Chinese game played during the Mid-autimn festival, the Pua Tiong Chiu, or Mooncake Dice Game, makes use of six pieces of dice and a bowl, along with many prizes to entice its players. The goal of the game? For players to rake up as many prizes as possible by trying their luck in getting desired combinations as they drop the dice into the bowl.
How does one make the Mookcake dice game, a traditional Chinese game, fun and exciting for players? Lucky Chinatown Mall, which is now accredited by the Department of Tourism, enticed its customers by giving them a chance to win major prizes such as a gas range, an e-bike, and staycation gift certificates, during its Mooncake Dice game last September 17 at the mall atrium.
With almost a hundred players in attendance (all they needed to do is a single receipt purchase worth P1500 at any Lucky Chinatown mall establishment from September 12-17), everyone got a chance to win small prizes, before being shortlisted to gain a chance to win the major prizes at stake.
Here are photos at how everyone, including non-Chinese players, had a blast playing this game.
