Driven, passionate, and fearless: these are some of the words to descibe the youth of today. The ever changing youth culture has produced young creatives that are goal-oriented, confident, and ready to stand out.
Sneaker brand PONY released its latest campaign #TheNextUs that speaks for the youth of today a.k.a. the Next Gens. These are the young and hip millenials that are said to "exude confidence living in the present with the remarkable ability to leave a stamp in the future while respecting tradition and history."
These lionhearted millenials are the future of Pony's legacy. Here, we introduce to you the 8 #NextGen youths who will surely spark an inspiration in you.
1. Chelsea Manalo (18, De La Salle University Araneta)
This stunner is one of the rising stars of the modelling scene. Her morena beauty is what makes her stand out even more. She's passionate about inspiring people, speaking out and passing the positivity around.
2. Jj Espanola (22 , University of the Philippines)
This passionate and career driven guy is one of UAAP's rising basketball stars. He dares to face the challenges head on and succeed in life, staying true to Pony's NYC attitude.
3. Venice Slaughter (20, Ateneo de Davao University)
A risk taker and an adventurer at heart, this medicine sudent doesn't let others get in the way of doing the things that she wants and loves.
4. Waf Nawaf Al Hassani (21, National University)
This up and coming DJ is also into sports and is a travel junkie. He says that he can adjust to different cultures easily which makes him the perfect ambassador who can reach out to a huge audience.
5. Angela Bueno (19, University of San Carlos Cebu)
A young entreprenuer, Angela likes to collaborate and produce things with her peers. “I believe there's so much that can be done in this lifetime and I wouldn't wanna waste any time. I may be a small girl but I've always had the knack to take on big things," she claims.
6. Stephen Quizon (19, University of the Philippines)
An aspiring theater actor and host. Stephen always makes sure that he gives his 101% in everything that he does and doesn't settle for mediocre work. His eagerness and passion to learn new things exemplifies a true #NextGen.
7. Sosy Orsini (18, Colegio de San Juan de Letran)
This fearless volleyball player is ready for anything that life throws her way. This student-athlete mastered the balance of "acads" and sports. Plus, the cool fact that she supports an advocacy for the environment saying that “For me, saving the Philippine Seas will be the most fulfilling thing that I can do."
8. Joshua Beltran (19, University of San Carlos Cebu)
A triathlete, Joshua keeps his eye for the prize by just being himself. Being a busy student-athlete, he never forgets to spend time with God and doesn't let his faith be shaken. “I am proud of what I've become, 'because I am a better person now. I'm a fighter," he adds.
