Most of us have already been told that we should embrace who we are and what we're naturally blessed with. For all the petite ladies out there, it isn't always easy, but there's no need to feel inferior to your taller peers. For a much-needed boost of confidence, here are five key items you should have in your wardrobe if you want to flatter your figure!

1. High-Waisted Pants

A pair helps make your legs look longer, creating an illusion that you are  taller and leaner. Flared pants are an excellent go-to. Pair them with your worn-out Converse or platform heels and you're good to go!

2. Crop Tops

Compared to your taller friends, you can definitely rock all the crop tops out there without revealing too much. This piece looks extra cute when paired with high-waisted bottoms for a more balanced look.

3. Heels

If you want an instant boost to your height, slipping into a pair of heels is your best bet. Nude clackers, especially, will make your legs look longer than they really are. If you’re not a fan of wearing heels, choose pointed flats over the ballet ones for a sophisticated look.

4. Monochromatic #OOTDs

Here's the trick: these kinds of outfits doesn't "cut you body in half." Instead, it gives off an illusion of a longer figure. Besides, this is a huge trend among celebs!

5. Smaller Accessories

Accessories provide a more detailed touch to your outfit, but make sure they don't mess up your final look. Ditch oversized bags and jewelry to keep you looking put-together and polished.

As much as you want to get those extra inches, you can do little else if you're way beyond your pubescent years. The best thing about fashion is you can easily find a way to build your confidence and feel good with what you're born with. There's no need to feel small, so keep holding your heads up high, cuties!
