The Six Fix: Your Favorite '90s Childhood Film Based On Your Personality

By Joelle Theresa Ngo

Oh, the '90s. A golden age of cartoons, music, and kid movies—or, at least, that's what all of us born in the period believe. Either way, we have no doubt that you'll feel a sudden rush of nostalgia as we reminisce some of the most magical movies that were shown in this era! And to make it even more fun, we've broken it down to match different personalities! Get ready for a few flashbacks–we know this list will trigger special memories and bring back the good 'ol days of your childhood!

 1. For the hopeless romantic: Casper (1995)

Casper set the bar for all teeenage guys during the '90s. A lonely but friendly ghost who's fiercely loyal to a girl he fell in love with at first sight, that he was even willing to give up his only chance of becoming a human just for her? Who can top that! It doesn't help that Casper's human form, Devon Sawa was just so cute—that moment when he danced with Kat (played by Christina Ricci) had us bawling and wishing that he could just stay human forever. After that, each time we heard "Remember Me This Way" by Jordan Hill, we automatically think, "Can I keep you?" Oh, man, the feels!

2. For the adventure seeker: Jumanji (1995)

At some point in our lives, Jumanji made us believe that playing board games can be one heck of a scary adventure! From seeing people melt as they get absorbed (literally) and trapped inside the game forever to giant spiders and floor boards turning into quick sand, the movie was a major thrill fest for kids. No childhood is complete without the emotional trauma of Jumanji!

3. For the forever kid at heart: Toy Story (1995)

When we were kids, most of us already believed that our toys come to life when no one was looking—that's why Toy Story was like a dream come true for every kid when it was first released. It gave us an "in-depth experience" of what really happens to our toys when we're not playing with them—and while we might've outgrown that idea now that we're young adults, the way Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang connected with us and the lessons it imparted during our childhood, will forever remain in our hearts.

4. For the funny, but cute klutzes: George of the Jungle (1997)

"George, George, George of the jungle, watch out for that tree!" If you can't read this line without singing then you're a true-blue '90s kid! George may not be the smartest guy ever, but he sure made living in the wilderness look fun and exciting—well, except when he bumped into trees!

5. For the science geek: Flubber

The late (and absolutely legendary) Robin Williams starred in a lot of kid movies during the '90s—and this Disney film remains one of the best in his filmography! Remember that green, gooey substance that his character accidentally created? And the immense amount of bouncing, flying highjinks that followed? We gotta admit, even if the movie had so many cringe-worthy moments, we still found ourselves wishing we had our very own green, hyperactive putty—it's so cute! And quite helpful, too!

6. For the sporty gal: Space Jam

There's a reason why most '90s kids love Michael Jordan. Sure, he's widely known as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) and one of the best basketball players in history—but we will never forget how he starred in this movie, played basketball with Bugs Bunny, and won against aliens! Define. Epic. Plus, the movie's soundtrack was really dope, too!

Which among the list is your favorite '90s film? If we've missed a couple of your personal favorites, don't forget to let us know in the comments section!
