When it comes to love, cat got your tongue?
It doesn’t matter how you say it, there are a lot of ways to tell bae you care. For those moments when words are elusive, borrowed ones might be the best alternative, until you’ve found your own. A great love song can come to your rescue. Even better, a tricked out #baelist to describe exactly how you feel.
Beyond the usual mush and clichés, we thought it would be interesting to string together 30 lines of various songs into a paean of love. After all, love is love is love, no matter the era or the genre. Cop the words and send to your SO. Or take a cue from these and pen your own. Only remember: Wasted words are the ones that are never said. Hop to it.
Note: We've corrected the punctuation and spacing to make it seem like a love letter. A proper shoutout to the original artist of each song is found at the end of the letter.
Dear (insert name),
There you go flashing fever from your eyes.1 And, you need to know that I'm hella obsessed with your face.2 You are so beautiful to me. Can't you see?3 The perfect words never crossed my mind, ‘cause there was nothing in there but you.4 You've already won me over in spite of me. And, don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet.5 Some people want diamond rings. Some just want everything. But everything means nothing, if I ain't got you.6
Baby, I'm yours. And, I'll be yours until the sun no longer shines. Yours, until the poets run out of rhyme. In other words, until the end of time.7 I would runaway with you.8 I want to stand with you on a mountain. I want to bathe with you in the sea. I want to lay like this forever. Until the sky falls down on me.9 You showed me a sunset overflowing. But who cares where it's going? As long as you're next to me.10
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight.11 Nothing compares to you.12 I didn't know that I was starving 'til I tasted you.13 Because your kiss is on my list of the best things in life.14 Can I just see you every morning when I open my eyes? Can I just feel your heart beating beside me every night?15 Something 'bout the way the hair falls in your face. I love the shape you take when crawling towards the pillowcase.16 Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones, turn into something beautiful. Do you know? You know I love you so.17

I miss you much, I really miss you you much.18 I remember every look upon your face. The way you roll your eyes, the way you taste. You make it hard for breathing.19 I'd walk a thousand miles If I could just see you tonight.20 I want to lay you down in a bed of roses.21 If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?22 We could close the curtains. Pretend like there's no world outside.23

Every time you go away you take a piece of me with you.24 My gift is my song and this one's for you.25 Give this song another listen. Close your eyes. Listen to my voice, it's my disguise. I'm by your side.26 I, I will be king. And you, you will be queen. Though nothing will drive them away, we can be heroes just for one day. We can be us just for one day.27
I'll stop the world and melt with you.28 And, I will always love you.29 This I promise you.30
