Tame your mane in three easy steps for salon-worthy locks!
STEP 1 PREP. For a quick blowout, start with freshly shampooed hair. If you want extra polished tresses, however, use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all product buildup completely. After washing your hair, use a smoothening product on damp strands then sit until hair is about 80% dry.
STEP 2 DRY AND STYLE. Use a hairdryer and a round brush to coax your strands into the style you like. Start this process off with the hair in front—or bands, if you have them—since this dries the fastest. Wrap two-inch sections of your hair around the barrel of a round brush and pull. You can curl your brush inwards to avoid drying your strands too straight.
STEP 3 FINISH. Before your hair completely dries, spend a few more minutes on the ends for a slightly curled and textured finish. You can even coil the bottom sections into loose curls and secure with pins. When you’re done, spritz them with a hint of hairspray and a blast of cold air to keep them in place.
