Ahh, young love, so sweet... and so was the cake that hit Erwan Heussaff's face the moment he turned 30! Anne secretly planned this birthday surprise with Erwan's sister, Solenn, and they super scored huge. He seemed to be sleeping so soundly in bed and Solenn captured the entire moment on video. They most probably had an extra perfect cake on standby for the final birthday photo together. Solenn captured her brother's whole 30th transition on camera. Are we getting V-day feels this early in January? It's a sweetness overload for sure.
1. Stealth is key. Keep the secret a secret for as long as possible. Ideally don't plan surprises on text because messages are evidence and can be missent. Group chats leave room for missent texts (that often go to the person you're trying to hide it from). Calls and in person meetings are better for planning to surprise someone you're always with.
2. Pick your team. Everyone loves the celebrant for sure, but not everyone is good at keeping a secret. For your frontliners in the process of planning, choose the friends and/or loved ones who'll be able to lovingly keep their lips sealed, coordinate, and at the same time add the most impact for the final moment.
3. Have several people recording the moment on multiple devices. As you can see with Erwan's moment the story came together thanks to both the love of his life, Anne, and his sister, Solenn. It's fun to see the same moment from different viewpoints so you can relive them over and over again if you stitch the clips together in an edit.
"It's crazy how many greetings we get nowadays with social media, but that doesn't mean that they are less important. Thank you for taking the time to greet me yesterday. I really appreciate it. Here's to year 30." - @erwanheussaff
