Daily Diaries: Danah And Stacy Gutierrez Have Legit Comebacks For Pinoys' Fat Shaming Hirits

As much as we hate to admit it, body shaming is still prevalent up to this day. People judging others based on their shapes and sizes, with the word "fat" often being used as an insult or to imply something negative towards someone else’s appearance. And this has got to stop.

Danah and Stacy Gutierrez, the sisterly-duo behind Plump.ph, opens up about their experiences in their book The Big Fat Book of Self Love on how they embrace and celebrate their being fat, how they deal with all the sarcastic comments they hear from people about their shape, and inspiring everyone with their stories as they set a great example to the world that you should love yourself for who you are and never let other people pressure you to conform to their own definition of beauty and perfection. Here, the Gutierrez sisters give their two cents on some of the not-so-nice things close-minded people would throw to people who are plump.

The comment: “Mukhang napag-iwanan ka sa kusina, a!”

The comment: “Mag-exercise ka kaya.” The comeback: "Paano mo nasabing hindi ako nag-e-exercise? Dahil ba malaki akong babae?

The comment: “Baboy! (O, kaya minsan batchoy!)." The comeback: "Una sa lahat, your maturity is very praiseworthy. Wow. HA!"

The comment: *Habang nasa buffet* “O, pang-ilang plato mo na ‘yan?”. Until you start to realize that there is health at every size, there is no point n getting into an argument with you. Lumayo ka na lang sa'kin please, and let me enjoy this buffet. *licks fingers*"

The comment: “Grabe nakita mo yung suot?
