Rib City

RB CTY / Rib City is a fun and interactive American diner specializing in tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs. Other items on the menu include pasta, salads, soup and other mains. In line with their restaurant concept, guests are encouraged to play and build legos while waiting for orders. It’s for lunch breaks with workmates in the area, barkada nights out or weekend play dates with the kids. It’s not for people who are looking for a quiet place to work in. We recommend the Big City with CTY rice or the Twin Tower. Our insider tip is non-rib eaters can still enjoy their burger and Philly cheesesteak sandwich.

Ippudo is a popular ramen joint specializing in Hakata-style Tonkotsu (pork-based) ramen produced in their kitchen and tailor-fitted for the Filipino palate. It is a joint venture with the guys at Yabu. It’s for straight up ramen minus the fancy embellishments of modern cuisine. It’s not for people looking for an extensive Japanese menu, although special items are regularly introduced. We recommend their Shiromaru Motoji ramen and the pork buns. New tsukemen ramen is available too. Our insider tip is that cute “kiddie sets” may be requested for your little ones. P.S. Ippudo Matsuri cards are now available. Customers get free ramen after completing all 5 ramen sidekicks stamps.

It is a concept restaurant by New Yorker Cuit Kaufman. It’s for breakfast lovers, casual lunch meetings, people who work graveyard shifts and/or party goers looking to cure a hangover. The Halal Guys is a halal gyro food cart based in New York City, founded in 1990. Their bright red and yellow umbrellas and flags quickly caught the attention of New Yorkers and tourists alike and soon long queues became its norm. It’s for people craving for gyro wraps and platters. It’s not for people who prefer kababs over shredded meat. We recommend the chicken and beef rice platters. Our insider tip is go wild on the white sauce but easy on the red sauce, they give quite the spicy kick. P.S. Follow their Twitter account @thehalalguysph for line updates. It’s not for people looking for ramen. We recommend the Soft Shell Crab Taco-Maki, Hangar Steak and Uni Udon. Our insider tip is that at Ooma, you get to ‘brush’ (not dip) soy sauce on your sushi.
