Cheat Sheet: Here's How to Turn Your Wardrobe Essentials into Couture-Inspired Ensembles

Have you always wanted to dress up designer-style everywhere you go? Your trip to the mall, a date with your boyfriend, or the family reunion... you have countless occasions on your list. But how to achieve that using what you have in your closet? Take inspiration from the fashion designers who will be featured at the La Couture Manila show on April 16:

1. Frederick Peralta. Frederick is known for sexy and dramatic designs, think volume with lots of curves. Balancing the over the top details is a tailored silhouette, following the pattern of the body. This contrast exudes feminine without being too overpowering. Try: A bell-sleeved top with palazzo pants or a billowy midi-skirt with an off-shoulder top.

2. Tina Daniac. One word to describe her design style is fearless. Ever bold and brave, she incorporates details that make the piece's wearer shine. From shimmer to unexpected patterns, her take turns you into the center of attention. Try: A color-popping V-neck blouse and sequined black skirt or a geometric printed shirtdress with metallic heels.

3. JC Ulanday. He’s all about sleek elements, tamed yet alluring in their simplicity. He plays with textures instead, choosing to go easy and use solid colors. Oh, and he’s also known for customized jeans! Try: The perfect skinny jeans and knitted sweater or cropped turtleneck top and skort.
