The Roundup: Where to Go and What to Do to Make the Most Out of This Long Weekend

Thanks to Chinese New Year, we've got our second long weekend for 2016! While we know that you would probably just rather stay home, sleep, watch your fave series, and eat because malls and amusements parks will be crowded, you'll be able to get more out of this once in a blue moon weekend vacay if you go out and have fun. Here's a list of exciting events you can check out:

 

Million Volunteer Run 3. With the #HumanityRun2016, Philippine Red Cross seeks to raise funds for lifesaving equipment and vehicles through this event. This will happen on February 6 at 37 EDSA corner Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City.

 

Second Skin. Art lovers will surely enjoy this two-man exhibit by Egg Fiasco and EXLD that explores mythology and cultural icons combined with the artists’ personal interpretation and local history. Exhibit runs from February 7-19 at G/F RONAC Art Center, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan.

 

METLab x Workshop: Serigraphy for Beginners. Learn how to use serigraphy or silk-screen through this workshop by MET. Who knows, you can even turn this into your own business once you master the craft. Workshop will take place on February 6, 1-8PM, at the METLab Metropolitan Museum of Manila. Entrance fee is at P800, inclusive of workshop materials.

 

23rd PTTA Travel Tour Expo. Here, you'll find a wiiiiide range of great travel deals for that perfect getaway you've been dreaming of, wherever that may be—they're only available from February 5-7, 10AM-7PM, at the SMX Convention Center, so you wouldn't want to miss this major opportunity to feed your wanderlust.

 

3 Stars and A Sun. This tribute play by the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) will surely awaken your Filipino spirit and social awareness through its sci-fi subgenre and music from the Master Rapper, Francis M. Show runs from February 4 to March 6 at the PETA Theater Center, New Manila, Quezon City.
