“Cooking food for a man is a good way to win his affections.”
X-Factor Philippines Season 1 and Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 alum Michael Pangilinan, whose second album is in the works (learn more about it here), believes so. Indeed the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Well, who wouldn’t be turned on with someone who takes a lot of effort to prepare food for you? If you know your man well, you will figure out what food he will like. But if not, this rising “Kilabot ng Kolehiyalas” might be able to help you, as he lists dishes and snacks that will melt his heart and would most likely work on any man:
Adobo. The easiest and safest dish to cook because every Filipino just loves adobo! For Michael, an oily adobo is worth every calorie.
Chicken Curry. This tangy and savory dish might take some effort to cook but it would please your man especially when he loves creamy and spicy food.
Laing. If your man is on a healthy diet, this is a good choice. If you are unsure of the recipe, you might want to ask Tita for her tried-and-tested secrets because for guys like Michael, mom’s laing is always the best.
Ice Cream. Something sweet to complete a meal and a wonderful way to cool down after a busy day at work or school.
Chocolates. It’s surprising how a man would love to receive chocolates as much as girls do. Don't worry, 'tis something you wouldn’t have to make: Just troop to the grocery and pick that chocolate bar you think would delight him.
He has given you flowers and chocolates. You have exchanged gifts every now and then during celebrations. Why not cook for him this time? You'll be surprise how it will turn out. And no matter what it is or how it tastes, as long as it’s diligently prepared with love, I’m sure his tummy, and his heart, would both be full.
