Its more than P300 million gross earnings in the box office prove that while its focal point is a controversial subject, Etiquette for Mistresses was able to not just entertain moviegoers but to also wonderfully shed light on a taboo topic. An adaptation of Jullie Yap Daza's '90s novel, the film humanized mistresses and more importantly, imparted lessons on loyalty, relationships, love, and friendship. We caught up with two of the film's stars, Iza Calzado and Claudine Barretto, and learned their personal thoughts on books that were turned into movies, just like their blockbuster hit, and their take on reading in the digital age.
Etiquette for Mistresses (And What Wives Can Learn From Them): The Novel by Jullie Yap Daza, a project of ABS-CBN Publishing and Star Cinema, is now available in leading bookstores nationwide.
