Whoever said that the action only happens when doors are closed has clearly no idea on what fun she's missing. The bed isn't some destination, in fact it's only a chunk of the journey. Try these 15 fun ways to get romance from your head to the bed! 

 

Bathe in peppermint. Buy natural peppermint soap with pure essential oil. It’ll tickle and tingle on every inch of your skin, and turn up the heat for the night ahead. Honey, can you scrub my back?

Touch yourself. We don’t mean that. After a hot shower, massage your body with lotion, instead of just slapping it on. Or give yourself a relaxing neck rub. “Since I have erratic

schedules and sometimes bring home work, it was hard for me to switch off stress at night. I was always distracted and never in the mood,” says Harriet F., an entrepreneur. A long, relaxing shower became her way of signaling the end of her work day—and reconnect with hubby.

Enjoy your “assets.” When was the last time you invested in a good bra? Don’t feel guilty about spending money on good lingerie. The right foundation will make you feel like a million bucks—and, on a practical level, prevent sagging and a not-so-sexy back bulge.

Flip it over. Part your hair on the other side. You’ll get instant sexy volume, and once in a while you’ll have to flip-and-toss the strands back—a move that will help you feel very feminine and drives guys wild.

Find songs that bring you to sexy places. Remember when wanton lust that overcame both of you? Trust us, it’s still there. Create a playlist of songs from your dating years. Ask hubby what songs he associates with you, too— even just talking about that first night rekindles the fire.

Love your curves. How can you feel sexy when you hate your body? Adele, who sizzles with sex appeal, never wallows in body-insecurity. “I’ve seen people who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. I just don’t want that in my life,” she said in her Vogue interview.

Look him in the eye. Couples make less eye contact as years go by. Look directly at him the next time you talk—or just catch his eye, hold the gaze for a few seconds, then smile. It’ll remind him of the days when he couldn’t take his eyes off you.

Touch him when you talk. “When a woman touches a man’s forearm duringconversation, it shows that she’s fully engaged,” says Patti Wood, a psychologist who specializes in body language. So even during crazy dinners when you’re surrounded by noisy kids, you can have that “hubby-wife” connection.

Find a short silky kimono. Give him something to think about at the office. Don’t get dressed right after taking your morning shower. Wear a robe that’s loosely belted and occasionally gives him a peep show as you put on makeup or look for your shoes.

Do yoga. A study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that women who regularly do yoga felt sexier, possibly because of how the moves help them become more aware of their bodies. Ellen Brret, author of Sexy Yoga, attributes it to the sense of calm. “Many women are so in their head that they can’t get into their body. Wear red. Women who dress in red are seen as sexier by men than those who wear white, green, gray, or blue, according to a study at the University of Rochester. Lisa R., mom of three kids, likes to wear red lipstick even when she’s at home. “It makes me feel sexier, even if I’m just wearing shorts and a tank top.”

Sexiness should not be overt. Something shapeless that drapes across your hip, hangs off the shoulder; something that cowls in the front, drapes low in the back, that’s sexy.”

Look at how dancers and athletes carry themselves: their hips are aligned, shoulders are even, they don’t slouch. “They give off a certain vitality and energy,” says body language expert Martin Lloyd-Elliot. Instead of just sucking in your back and stomach—which looks like you’re preparing yourself to be punched—imagine pulling a string on your head, drawing up your chin, spine and shoulders.

A few stolen moments. Touch your husband in sexy ways outside the bedroom: a shoulder rub in the kitchen, a kiss in the corridor. “This reminds you both that the bustle of daily life can give way to the rustle of nighttime get-togethers,” says Patty Brisben, owner and founder of PureRomance.com.

Get him to move closer. “The closer someone has to get to smell your fragrance, the more seductive it becomes,” says perfumer Sylvaine Delacourte. Dot pure perfumes on the wrists or behind the ears; for an eau de toilette, mist a cloud in front of you and walk through it.

Take your time. “Add the element of doubling,” says Barbara Keesling, author of The Good Girl’s Guide to Bad Girl Sex. “Hold his kiss for twice as long. Take twice as much time to unbutton every button.” Do this even when you’re not having sex--hug him longer when he comes home from work.
