Cheat Sheet: Don’t Wait for Someone Else to Bring Roses Into Your Life—Paint Them Yourself

Cheat Sheet: Don’t Wait for Someone Else to Bring Roses Into Your Life—Paint Them Yourself

1. Start with a dark base, like black polish, to make sure that the roses stand out. Layer a small dot of pastel pink on top to make your flower base.

2. To create the petals, use a thinner striper brush to add hot pink swirls to your base. Start in the middle and swirl your way out.

3. Finish up with some leaves—using a toothpick, paint small oval shapes on each side of the flowers with green polish.

Tip: Don’t forget to give your nail polish some time to dry in between steps, so you won’t end up mixing the polishes.
