You know how to do the cat eye makeup technique like the back of your hand—or not, but either way, as we usher in September we encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and try the edgier take on this popular beauty skill: The Reverse Cat Eye.
And yes by reverse, it literally means you draw on the opposite area of your upper lashline a.k.a. the waterline. It’s actually easy to do, you just need three things to get this right: Gel eyeliner, nude eyeshadow, and a steady hand. Having a steady hand is very important because the lines have to be more precise than your usual cat eye as they can be seen entirely (unlike when they’re drawn on the eyelid which isn’t visible when your eyes are open). So focus, okay?
